Meet our Recepients: Rohullah

Who are you and where do you come from?

I am Rohullah and I come from Kabul in Afghanistan.

How did you find us?

I found you through chat GPT.

Why do you need a bike?

Because we are living in a very small village and we don't have buses all the time during the day and we are living very far from the bus stop. That's why I need a bike.

Did you already own a bike in the past?

Yeah, I used to have a bicycle in Kabul and I used to drive there everyday with my bike from work to home, from home to work. Everyday.

Do you remember your first bike?

I had very small ones for children with three wheels.

Do you remember the colour?
Yeah, it's the same in Afghanistan. We have one style. It is red and yellow kids bike for everyone.

So if I ask any Afghan what was the colour of his first bike, he would say red and yellow?

If they started at four years old or three, yeah. But if they started later at five and six, they can have different bicycles.

Who taught you riding the bike?

My older brother.

What are your current goals? What do you want to achieve?

First I wants to learn the language here, because I am new in this country and after that I want to do an „Ausbildung“ and become a Krankenpfleger and help people.

Really?

Yes. I just chose this major because I want to help people. I want to be helpful.

Are there any obstacles?

Yeah, actually a lot, but the main obstacle for us is the language. That we should try our best to learn.

What gives you Rückenwind, meaning what motivates you?

My parents that are living far away from me motivate mer all the time.

Thank you very much.
