Goal of the Bike Buddies Project:
Moving around freely is key to feeling at home in a new place.
But for many refugees, mobility can be a challenge—whether due to financial barriers, unfamiliarity with local traffic rules, or a lack of cycling skills/ confidence.
That’s where BikeBuddy comes in! 🚲✨ We connect Berliners who love biking with refugees eager to gain confidence on two wheels. Together, they repair bikes, learn essential maintenance skills and needed tips for safety to be able to explore the city together on fun and purposeful rides.
But BikeBuddy is more than just a cycling project—it’s about friendship, independence, and making Berlin feel like home while promoting sustainable mobility for all. 💙
